The summer months place a greater burden on the food pantry at Blessed Sacrament, Bridgeport, due to the area children being out of school and not receiving breakfast and lunch in their classrooms.

St. Mark’s Saint John Paul II Knights of Columbus Council #8 is hosting a food and clothing drive on Saturday, June 22, to help “beef up” the food stores at the Blessed Sacrament food pantry.  The drive will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the church parking lot.  All food will be donated to the Blessed Sacrament food pantry.

Also, bring your clean, dry, and odorless clothing, footwear, linens, blankets, comforters, and accessories (bags, hats, backpacks, jewelry) and give them new life as reused and recycled clothes!  Items should be dropped off in a plastic bag.  Please click the button below to see how these materials get reused.
