Help Us Build a Safer Future for Our Children
Dear Parish and School Families,
Following a recent safety and risk assessment, we have identified several vulnerabilities along the Nemergut Road side of our property. While we are deeply committed to providing our children a place to learn, grow, and play in faith, their safety must always come first.
In light of the recent incident in Denver and our ongoing efforts to strengthen security, we are moving forward with plans to install a 6-foot PVC/Vinyl fence along the property line facing Nemergut Road. This fence will include motorized gates that remain closed while school is in session, creating a secure perimeter for our students during playtime and outdoor activities.
Our children currently play within 20 feet of the road, where they are visible and easily accessible from passing traffic — a risk we cannot ignore. While we have already applied for grants to upgrade windows, doors, cameras, and locks, fencing was not covered under those funds.
The estimated cost of the fence project is over $45,000. We are prayerfully asking for your help to make this vital safety improvement a reality. Any amount, large or small, will make a difference.
Please note that this is an additional request, and we kindly ask that you continue supporting the Annual Fund as usual.
Checks may be made payable to St. Mark RC Church, with “Fence Project” clearly noted in the memo line.
Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your commitment to keeping our children safe — body, mind, and spirit. Together, we can ensure that our parish and school remain not only a place of faith and learning, but also of security and peace. I am committed to keeping our children safe and pray that you are as well.
“Let the little children come to me… for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” — Matthew 19:14
In gratitude,
Fr. Reggie
