Good news! The Steubenville East Youth Conference you've heard about is coming up this summer, and registration is opening up soon!
Right now I am looking for a commitment as to whether you intend on joining us for this awesome weekend, so that I can reserve an appropriate number of spots as well as line up chaperons. I will need a $50 deposit by January 15, although if that presents a problem, contact me and we can work out something else. Please fill out the form on the back and return to me or Mrs. Nettleton with your deposit to reserve your spot! (Note that this deposit is non-refundable for any reason).

What is Steubenville East?
Sponsored by the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Steubenville Ohio, Steubenville East is a powerful Catholic youth conference for high school teens. It is an opportunity for youth to spend a weekend with their peers who share their faith, to strengthen their relationship with God, to experience the power and beauty of their Catholic faith through the Sacraments, and to learn and grow in their faith - in a way they may not have every experienced before. This is accomplished through dynamic keynote speakers, celebration of Mass, opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, great entertainment, Eucharistic adoration, vibrant praise & worship music, and small group time. It is a life-changing event you'll never forget! I urge you to consider taking a leap of faith and find out what God has in store for you - you will not be disappointed!
As a small aside, for those who are in 8th grade in the Chosen confirmation prep program, some of the speakers in the DVD segments are part of the Steubenville ministry team.
What speakers/entertainers will be there?
This year, music will be provided by Andrew Laubacher and his band. Fr. Mike Schmitz will be our spiritual leader. Other members of the ministry team include host Kris Frank and speakers Jason Evert, Joel Stepanek and Katie Prejean McGrady.
How many people will be there?
There are over 3000 students and chaperons at Steubenville East, the regional conference for the northeast US. This year there will be 25 Steubenville conferences nationwide, serving over 50,000 teens.
Who can go?
The event is open to youth who will be entering grades 9-12 in the fall of 2020, as well as 2020 high school graduates. In other words, anyone currently in grades 8-12. All participants must attend as part of a group.
What if I can't afford it?
Our goal is to make attending the conference available to everyone. We'll be hosting a number of fundraisers over the next 6 months to raise money for the trip. By helping at these fundraisers, the money you earn can be applied to your balance. I'm only looking for the initial $50 up front; the rest will be due in May. Scholarships are available in cases of financial hardship - I don't want money to be the reason you don't come. Please contact me to make arrangements.
